We partner with the City of McGrath on many issues including the dump and recycle system in McGrath, as well as proper disposal of hazardous items.
The Village of McGrath believes it is important to have the ability to recycle materials appropriately. We are able to appropriately store and recycle certain everyday materials not safe for the burn box or environment.
We have the tools to do a good amount of in-house recycling. Some tools we have are a glass crusher, drum crusher, light bulb crusher, and propane bottle diffuser. For all other things that we cannot handle ourselves is back hauled to a recycling center.
Glass crusher – rock garden, drum crusher, light bulb crusher, small propane bottle diffuser, These materials are all stored safely until we can freight them out to a appropriate recycler.
Car batteries go in totes, and batteries go into 5-gallon buckets.
Electronics – any household items with electronics microwaves, vacuums, coffee pots, fans, toasters, TV’s, DVD players, crackpots, instapots.
White goods – computers, freezers, battery recycle, and any other types of home electronics.
