MNVC has Domestic Violence/ Sexual Assault grants, allowing us to assist those in need who are facing domestic violence or who are victims of any crime. We invite everyone to come to us for support no matter age, gender, race/ ethnicity, tribal members, and non-tribal members. And, our events are always open to all. We utilize this funding to hold events, in hopes to strengthen relationships between community members, to build safe environments where people feel confident and comfortable going. If others in surrounding villages are seeking any support, they can always call MNVC at 907-524-3024. Assistance available is based on the survivors needs.
Currently, we are working on getting domestic violence support training to all employees, with the hopes that any domestic violence survivors will feel comfortable with seeking support and assistance. We feel the more people who are trained, we are bettering the odds in having our employees develop supporting relationships with those wanting to seek support and a safe place with MNVC.
MNVC offers refuge and support to those in need. We can help with safe housing and anything needed to assist ones in need to move forward with the situation being experienced. We also partner with Tanana Chiefs Conference (TCC).
