We strive to empower our tribal members through committees to give them voices to be heard and help lead McGrath Native Village Council into the future. To preserve our heritage and cultural values we are working with our Culture Committee which has plans for deep cultural revitalization.
Through the guidance of the Culture Committee, we strive to build a permanent Culture Camp site to preserve and teach cultural activities and heritage to the next generations. While teaching traditional ways we are adapting to modern conveniences to promote long lasting practices. We are also pairing with different entities to expand our ability to educate more diverse cultural awareness within the community, surrounding villages, and regions.
Currently our committee is partnering/ working with many entities, including but not limited to MTNT, Innoko wildlife refuge, McGrath School, to bring more cultural activities to the community.
